Getting your cat to the veterinarian can be stressful for the cat and you. You know it something you should do, didn’t you just receive that reminder card for Tiger? In fact you are not alone, 58% of cat owners report that their cat hates going to the veterinarian and 38% report they get stressed just thinking about it.
Help is on the way. The American Association of Feline Practitioners have a great program where clinics can be certified as a Cat Friendly Practice. To receive this a clinic has to prove they have taken extra steps to assure they understand a cat’s unique needs and try to decrease stress and provide a more calming environment.
We are proud to say St. Louis Cat Clinic is a Cat Friendly Practice. Our veterinarians make it a point to attend continuing education classes to learn the best practices to take care of your cat. Our staff excel in understanding cat behavior. In fact, Dr. Freesh believes we have the cat whisperers working here!
