The AVMA and AVMF have partnered with the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service (SITES) and Zoetis to create “Animal Connections: Our Journey Together,” a custom-built exhibition housed on an 18-wheel truck that introduces visitors of all ages to the complex bond between humans and animals. The exhibit’s tour kicked-off at the 2013 AVMA Convention in Chicago, in July, it is now traveling throughout the USA.
We have just learned that the exhibit will make an unscheduled stop in the St. Louis, MO, area at Purina Farms on Wednesday, April 9 and Thursday April, 10, 2014. The AVMF invites all local veterinarians, their clinic staff, clients and families to visit the exhibit.
Additionally, AVMF is seeking Veterinarians to volunteer for one of several two or four hour shifts to work with the public within the exhibit. Volunteers will interact and engage with the public about the veterinary field and the human-animal connection.
This free exhibition will be located at Purina Farms, Outdoor Agility Field Parking Lot, 300 Checkerboard Loop, Gray Summit, MO.
Hours for the free exhibition are 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., on both Wednesday, April 9, and Thursday, April 10.
We ask that you share this information with your clients and staff and encourage them to attend this unique and fascinating traveling exhibit.
