What Do Vaccinations Cost?

What Do Kitten Vaccinations Cost?

Kittens should receive a series of vaccinations about every 4 weeks until they are 16 weeks old. The vaccination series length will depend on the age at which the vaccine series is started. Usually two to three visits as a kitten will complete a vaccination series. Kitten vaccination are given in a series just as children receive a series of vaccinations.

When your kitten becomes an adult, he/she will need an Annual Exam, a stool sample checked, and appropriate vaccinations. Please review our Cat Wellness Plan.

The cost of a kitten series of vaccinations will depend on the number given, the type of vaccinations given, and whether you choose to follow a kitten wellness plan or just have the vaccinations given. Kittens that will go outside will need more protective vaccinations to prevent diseases. Our veterinarians will review your kitten’s expected life style and exposure to disease and provide an accurate estimate tailored to your kitten’s needs.

Please review the St. Louis Cat Clinic Kitten Wellness Plan on our website. Kittens should have a comprehensive examination, a Feline leukemia/FIV blood test, stool samples checked for internal parasites, checked for ear mites/fleas/ticks, and have a microchip placed for permanent identification. Kittens should be spayed or neutered at the appropriate age. Kittens who will go outdoors need flea, tick, ear mite, worm control plus heartworm prevention.

What Do Adult Cat Vaccinations Cost?

An adult cat (1 year of age to 7 years of age) will need an Annual Exam, a stool sample checked, and appropriate vaccinations for his/her life style. Weight, teeth, Body Condition Score, hydration, and whether external parasites are present should always be part of a Wellness Exam yearly. Please review our Cat Wellness Plan.
