December holiday concerns

cat-in-christmas-tree-cropped-300x283Stress, distress, danger at a lovely season. Holiday feedings of unusual foods, holiday decorations, the stress of guests can weigh heavily on the health of cats who do not handle changes well. Avoid tensile on Christmas trees. Do not indulge cats with human foods that may be too rich and cause vomiting and/or diarrhea. Cats may ingest Christmas tree needles and vomit. Ingestion of decorations and intestinal blockages are not uncommon. Tie down Christmas trees because cats will climb them. Keep everyone safe.
